About Dr. Timbrook
I received a Bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University (1988), and my Masters (1991) and Doctorate of Philosophy Degrees (1998) from Kent State University in Ohio. I completed a pre-doctoral clinical internship at the Northwest Ohio Consortium in Toledo, Ohio. I have been licensed in Indiana as a psychologist since December 1998.
I have over 25 years of extensive training and experience in providing psychotherapy, assessment and evaluation services to individuals, couples, and families I have been in private practice in Fort Wayne, Indiana since 1997. I maintain a clinical practice working with adolescents (age 18 years and older) and adults and offer primarily individual, psychotherapy. I may occoasionally work with couples or families with whom I have previously worked. At this time I am not accepting new couples or family therapy cases.
I have special interest in working with persons dealing with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress, anger management, psychological factors affecting medical illness, chronic pain, coping with chronic medical illness, depression, and pornography addiction, gender identity and sexual orientation issues. I am affirming of LGBTQ individuals and provide referral letters when appropriate for transgender individuals transitioning.
